I performed the instructional design to improve the quality of this online Ryerson University course, editing and restructuring the instructor's draft course materials, which were comprised of MS Word and SPSS output files, both containing many equations, graphs, tables and special symbols. HTML generation was performed by another member of the implementation team.
Students were evaluated based on their assignments using SPSS (a Windows-resident statistical simulator), and their marks on tests. Following the instructor's direction, I designed a learning environment which encouraged only minimal student interactions beyond reviewing course material and submitting assignments.
