ISPF Editor Automatic Capitalization

If the lower case characters on your screen have not been shifted to upper case, you can follow these steps to get automatic capitalization working:

  1. Position the cursor after Primary Command ==>, type "caps on" and press Enter to execute that command.

  2. In the same way, execute the command "can", and when a screen appears asking you to confirm that command, press Enter.

  3. Press F3 and you should now see the Edit Entry Panel.

  4. Try again: Type your new member name, press Enter and enter one or more alphabetic characters.
Press Enter to collapse the display, and this time any lower case characters that your typed should have been upshifted; if not, post a message on the class Bulletin board.
